In line with Al-Musayyib Technical College’s mission to link theoretical knowledge with practical application, the Department of Soil and Water Techniques organized a series of specialized seminars for postgraduate (master’s) students to enhance their research and practical skills in the fields of soil and water.
These seminars aim to cultivate a new generation of researchers and experts capable of bridging the gap between scientific research and field application, contributing to practical solutions for soil and water challenges faced by Iraq’s agricultural sector, in accordance with the requirements of sustainable development.
The seminars focused on developing the research and practical skills of master’s students in their respective specializations. Topics included soil management and sustainability, improving soil fertility, and optimizing the use of irrigation water through the application of modern agricultural techniques. Additionally, the seminars addressed issues such as salinity management, environmental pollution, and the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing for the study of soil and water resources.
