Al-Musayyib Technical College Council convened its second session under the chairmanship of Dr. Ali Al-Zubaidi, Dean of the College, with the attendance of all council members.
The session included discussions on a range of academic and administrative topics aimed at developing the educational process and advancing the college’s academic journey.
At the outset of the session, the council reviewed the promotions of several faculty members in recognition of their scientific contributions.
On the academic front, discussions focused on the proposed renaming of the “Department of Animal Production Techniques” to “Department of Animal Production and Health Techniques” to broaden the scope of the department and align it with recent developments in this important scientific field.
Regarding undergraduate studies, the council allocated part of the session to review student requests and to take appropriate decisions concerning them.
With respect to postgraduate studies, the council addressed the formation of a discussion committee for a master’s student in the Department of Power Mechanical Engineering Techniques, in preparation for the defense of their thesis.
The session also included reviewing the minutes of the tenth session for evening studies to monitor its progress, discussing the work and publications of the college’s scientific journal (FJIAS), and reviewing preparations for the upcoming college conference.
Additionally, the council discussed the voluntary initiatives carried out by the college and their significance in promoting a sense of belonging and social responsibility among students and staff.
The session concluded with the adoption of a number of recommendations and decisions intended to support the college’s academic and research mission.
