Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Division

Objectives:

  1. Strengthen public confidence in the competence of the college’s graduates.
  2. Adopt international standards in the field of academic accreditation to ensure and enhance the quality of education.
  3. Develop human resources and strengthen their capacities to support administrative levels within the college.
  4. Promote community participation to achieve excellence and innovation.
  5. Develop resources by enhancing and implementing the concept of a productive college.

Summary of the Tasks of the Four Administrative Units


1. Quality Assurance Unit

  1. Promote a culture of quality assurance and academic accreditation within the college and its affiliated institutions.
  2. Coordinate with the University and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding updates in quality assurance and accreditation.
  3. Implement and monitor institutional and programmatic accreditation processes within the college and its departments.
  4. Prepare periodic reports on the implementation of institutional and programmatic accreditation.
  5. Prepare regular reports on improvement and continuous development activities.
  6. Follow up on developments in quality assurance and academic accreditation.
  7. Communicate with organizations and companies involved in training, development, and international academic program accreditation.
  8. Establish connections with local, regional, and international institutions in the fields of quality assurance and academic accreditation.
  9. Encourage participation in internal and external events organized by the college.
  10. Document institutional and programmatic accreditation standards for the college and its departments.

2. Performance Evaluation Unit

  1. Evaluate performance in all departments of the college to assess quality and identify areas for improvement.
  2. Create a comprehensive database of all college activities and monitor the development of the educational process.
  3. Provide support, advice, and guidance to all quality assurance and performance evaluation units within the college to enhance performance programs.
  4. Implement electronic performance evaluation across the college’s departments and submit the necessary reports.
  5. Compare field evaluation results with labor market needs and provide recommendations to the Dean and college administration.
  6. Prepare final annual performance reports for the college’s staff and departments.
  7. Submit periodic reports on the unit’s activities and annual achievement rates to the Head of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division.
  8. Perform any additional tasks assigned by the division to support the university performance evaluation process.

3. Training and Technical Support Unit

  1. Promote the culture of quality and performance evaluation within the college and its departments.
  2. Organize training and development courses and workshops for staff working in the field of performance evaluation and quality assurance, aiming to achieve institutional and programmatic academic accreditation.
  3. Participate in and organize seminars, regular meetings, and international conferences on quality assurance and university performance.
  4. Provide support to quality assurance and performance evaluation units in implementing related systems and programs.
  5. Coordinate between quality assurance units and the IT & Internet Division to publish activities, participation, and research on the university’s official website.
  6. Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division.

4. Laboratory Accreditation Unit

  1. Monitor and verify laboratory specifications to ensure compliance with approved standards.
  2. Determine technical specifications for devices and equipment, label and document them in coordination with laboratory supervisors and related departments in the college and other universities.
  3. Follow up on calibration programs for devices and equipment in collaboration with relevant authorities.
  4. Coordinate specialized training programs for laboratory staff according to international and national standards.
  5. Collaborate with the University’s Laboratory Accreditation Department and the Ministry of Higher Education’s Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority to enhance laboratory performance and achieve official accreditation.
  6. Implement the procedures and requirements identified by the laboratory accreditation field team.
  7. Coordinate with local and international institutions to hold specialized training programs for staff in auditing and laboratory quality assessment.
  8. Conduct effective internal audits for laboratories to evaluate testing efficiency periodically and submit reports to college officials.

Overview and Administrative Structure:

The Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Division reports administratively to the Dean of Al-Mussaib Technical College and consists of four administrative units as outlined above.
