The Department of Aircraft and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Mechanical Engineering Technologies is one of the pioneering departments that aims to graduate qualified engineers and technologists equipped with the scientific knowledge and practical skills necessary in the field of aircraft and UAV systems.
Through our academic curricula, research, and applied activities, we strive to provide our students with a solid foundation that enables them to innovate and compete effectively in both local and regional job markets.

The Department of Aircraft and UAV Mechanical Engineering Technologies was established in 2025.

The department aims to graduate technologists and engineers capable of design, operation, maintenance, and innovation in the field of aviation and unmanned aerial systems, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability standards.
Department Objectives
The department seeks to prepare qualified engineering cadres in the specialization of Aircraft and UAV Mechanical Engineering Technologies, who are capable of meeting the country’s developmental needs and responding to the demands of the labor market in both governmental and industrial sectors.
It also aims to cultivate an educated generation that relies on science as a sound foundation for transformative progress, applying scientific thinking and analytical methods in service of national development goals.

The department graduates highly qualified technical cadres—both scientifically and practically—capable of supporting Iraqi state institutions with specialized expertise in aviation and UAV mechanical engineering.
Students receive hands-on training in the college’s specialized workshops as well as through internships in government institutions under the supervision of academically qualified engineering staff.
