It is one of the colleges of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University and was established in 1998 to meet the growing community need for qualitative specializations that are not available in its peers from the colleges of Iraqi universities. The college aims to prepare technical cadres and advanced staff at the level of a technical bachelor's degree, academically and scientifically qualified to deal with modern technologies, in addition to preparing staff at the master's level to keep pace with scientific development and complete the academic construction process in engineering specializations. The college includes three specializations: medical specialization, engineering specialization, and agricultural specialization. Al-Musayyab Technical College is located in Babel Governorate / Al-Musayyab District. It was established in 1998 with four scientific departments and no more than (65) students. In 1999, evening studies were opened for the engineering departments only. The number of students in 2009 reached (1100) students. The college awards a technical bachelor's degree in engineering and a bachelor's degree in agricultural sciences, each according to his specialization. The college accepts graduates of preparatory studies for the scientific branch as well as outstanding students in technical institutes.
