Head of Department’s Message
We are pleased to welcome you to the Department of Vision Examination Technologies, one of the newly established medical departments at the Al-Musayyib Technical College, affiliated with the Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University. The establishment of this department comes in response to an actual and growing need within the Iraqi healthcare sector for specialized technical personnel in visual care—professionals capable of conducting accurate diagnostic examinations that contribute to improving the quality of public health and visual well-being.
The department aims to create a distinguished educational environment that combines a solid theoretical foundation with advanced practical training, within a modern academic framework that enables students to acquire the technical and professional skills necessary for direct integration into the formal healthcare workforce.
A key feature of our department is that it offers a Bachelor’s degree in Vision Examination Technology over a four-year academic program. Graduates are entitled to obtain membership in the Iraqi Syndicate of Health and Medical Professions, in addition to being eligible for central appointment within the Ministry of Health.
We aspire for our graduates to become effective contributors to building an advanced and sustainable visual healthcare system in our beloved Iraq.
