Department of Information Technology (formerly the Computing Center)
The Department of Information Technology (formerly the Computing Center) is one of the essential formations of the Technical College / Al-Musayyib, established since the founding of the college in 1998. It holds significant importance as recognized by the administrations of educational institutions, due to the importance of computing and its benefits in accomplishing the tasks assigned to it, including the provision of services, training, and system development, particularly in relation to international information network services.
Mission:
The Department of Information Technology (formerly the Computing Center) supports all scientific departments and administrative units with technical expertise, training, and development by providing the necessary equipment and maintenance.
Vision of the Department
To establish a distinguished scientific base in the field of computing related to computer science and its applications; as it seeks to prepare plans for the development of faculty members and curricula; to ensure compliance with quality standards. The center attempts to keep pace with the rapid advancements in information technology and ready-made applications; to contribute to achieving part of this goal, in order to become a distinguished educational and research institution in its programs, curricula, and scientific research.
The Department of Information Technology (formerly the Computing Center) aims to prepare qualified graduates capable of efficiently handling application and information programs and working to provide suitable opportunities for enhancing community capabilities in leveraging the advancements in information technology, in addition to meeting their needs in the field of computing, conducting scientific and applied research, and providing consulting and training services.
Objectives of the Department of Information Technology (formerly the Computing Center)
To enhance the level of educational services provided, which includes faculty members, teaching methods, training, and educational materials.
