Head of Department’s Message
The Department of Power Mechanics Engineering Technologies, formerly known as the Department of Pump Engineering Technologies (from 1998 to 2019), is one of the pioneering departments of the Al-Mussaib Technical College.
The study program in the department extends over four years, leading to a Bachelor’s degree in Power Mechanics Engineering, which is officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This qualification enables graduates to register with the Iraqi Engineers Union.
Since its establishment, the department has witnessed continuous qualitative and quantitative growth in its academic and administrative performance. It now boasts a distinguished faculty holding Master’s and Ph.D. degrees from some of the best Iraqi and international universities.
The department has developed its classrooms by equipping them with modern teaching aids and laboratory models, and it has also upgraded its laboratories and mechanical workshop with advanced devices, tools, and equipment necessary to effectively implement the approved academic curriculum.
Efforts are ongoing—under the supervision of the College Dean’s Office—to further enhance the department’s facilities and capabilities. The department also plays an active and vital role in the academic, cultural, and athletic activities of the college.
