Department Establishment
The Department of Building and Construction Engineering Technologies was established during the 2014–2015 academic year. In its founding year, the department hosted third- and fourth-year students from the Technical College of Mosul. It received its first-year students in the 2015–2016 academic year, marking the start of its independent academic activity.
Department Mission
The department’s mission is to prepare technical engineers who are capable of utilizing modern technologies and methods in the design, implementation, and maintenance of all types of engineering projects. Graduates are also trained to manage and operate production units specializing in construction materials and prefabricated structural systems, as well as to test and evaluate construction and building materials of various kinds.
Department Objectives
The Department of Building and Construction Engineering Technologies seeks to:
Graduate specialized engineering cadres in all branches of building and construction engineering.
Qualify engineers who are capable of designing and supervising all civil engineering projects and ensuring the technical and structural quality of construction works.
Department Vision
The department aspires to become a leading and distinguished center in the field of Building and Construction Engineering Technologies, capable of supplying the labor market with highly skilled technical engineers who can keep pace with the rapid technological advancements in the construction and infrastructure sectors.
