It was established in <strong data-start=\"970\" data-end=\"978\">2007<\/strong> in response to the region\u2019s need for this vital specialization. The area is characterized by extensive agricultural lands frequently affected by plant pathogens and pests, which provides ample opportunities for the employment of the department\u2019s graduates.<br data-start=\"1235\" data-end=\"1238\" \/>At the outset, the department faced several challenges due to the lack of laboratories. As a result, scientific visits were conducted to laboratories in nearby institutes and colleges, including those of <strong data-start=\"1442\" data-end=\"1477\">Al-Musayyib Technical Institute<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"1482\" data-end=\"1880\">After <strong data-start=\"1488\" data-end=\"1496\">2010<\/strong>, the academic and training staff began to grow gradually. The department currently includes <strong data-start=\"1589\" data-end=\"1618\">18 academic staff members<\/strong>, among them <strong data-start=\"1631\" data-end=\"1647\">2 Professors<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1649\" data-end=\"1675\">9 Associate Professors<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1677\" data-end=\"1691\">1 Lecturer<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"1697\" data-end=\"1722\">6 Assistant Lecturers<\/strong>, in addition to <strong data-start=\"1739\" data-end=\"1768\">13 agricultural engineers<\/strong>.<br data-start=\"1769\" data-end=\"1772\" \/>At present, the department offers both <strong data-start=\"1811\" data-end=\"1825\">Bachelor\u2019s<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1830\" data-end=\"1842\">Master\u2019s<\/strong> degrees in <em data-start=\"1854\" data-end=\"1879\">Biocontrol Technologies<\/em>.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-tab-title elementor-tab-mobile-title\" aria-selected=\"false\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-2013\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Department Mission<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-2013\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-2013\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><h3 data-start=\"1887\" data-end=\"1913\">\u00a0<\/h3><h5 data-start=\"1915\" data-end=\"2390\">The department seeks to achieve its goals and aspirations by creating an appropriate educational environment and providing all necessary material and human resources.
