Overview

The student is considered the core and ultimate purpose of the educational process. In order to provide the necessary support throughout the student’s academic journey and to ensure the smooth implementation of the educational plan within an appropriate educational environment, and with the aim of developing and strengthening students’ intellectual resilience and independent self-confidence in alignment with the objectives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Deanery of Al-Musayyib Technical College, through the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, has established a comprehensive program designed to overcome obstacles and challenges that may hinder students’ progress. This initiative focuses on creating a supportive educational and moral environment that fosters mutual respect and collaboration between the teaching staff and the students.

The responsibility undertaken by the Ministry—to ensure that students successfully meet the academic requirements of their courses and acquire the necessary practical skills—can only be achieved through continuous counseling and assistance in finding suitable solutions to the various problems and difficulties students may encounter, both within and outside the university environment. These challenges may directly or indirectly affect their academic performance. Accordingly, the unit offers multiple options and solutions without compelling students to adopt prescribed guidance; rather, it serves as a vigilant and supportive presence, observing students’ choices closely and providing advice and assistance whenever needed—proactively, and not merely in response to a student’s request for help.
